This was a serious vertical of seriously mature Taylor’s Port, 1878 to 1948, on Monday 13th October 2025 at Noble Rot, Mayfair, as arranged by Alex Bridgeman of BFT fame.

T12, orange. 15% opaque. Lovely soft texture, the mid-palate excellent with oleaginous orange. For my taste, too old and faded.

Not at all like my one taste of a good Ck12!

Rich red fruit, lovely balance, great long finish. This was a change in style with a touch of sweetness coming in, more red fruit showing. Classical modern Taylor in style Got better and better as the evening went on. Excellent to outstanding. Hon Mention

1912 Taylor, opened 18.30 and decanted 2 hours later. Tasted 1½ hours after decanting. Light amber colour, approximately 20% opaque. Very gentle but exquisite nose showing nutty fruit and expressing such a purity. Stunning palate with beautiful mature fruit and incredible levels of complexity. More power than on the 1908 palate with spices enlivening the palate. Glorious, absolutely at its peak. 98/100. My (and many others') wine of the night.
