A zombie / in-law invasion needed to be escaped by one of us, and another proposed that the theme be ‘Vintage Port that you would like to drink if you had not Vintage Port for 7 months’. At the Boot & Flogger, on Monday 29th December 2025.

Cr60. Dark red, 50% opaque. Palate of dark fruits, big and smooth. Despite brevity of TN, I liked a lot.

Croft 1960. Decanted 2 hours. Dark rose red in colour and 70% opaque. Black cherry on the nose. Sweet black cherry compote on the palate, very sweet - jammy - black cherry fruit. Hints of orange on the aftertaste with a pleasant liquorice aftertaste and finish. Lovely; in an early phase of its mature secondary life. Lovely, but opened before this bottle hits its peak so it’s showing in a way which is a little simple. 88/100.
