Fonseca Guimaraens 1995. Dark Red with a wide rim and an opaque centre. A little closed on the nose with only a little fruit expressing itself. Some sweet red fruit and candied cherry on the palate. The aftertaste is much better than the palate and allows the fruit to express itself, nicely supported by a gentle tannic core. 90/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026
