60 @ 66 - Tuesday 14 April 2026
Posted: 14:54 Fri 23 Jan 2026
by nac
If we're going to do 66@60, then the nicely symmetrical 60@66 seems like a no-brainer.
There was a plan to do the 60s in 2020 but unfortunately the Zombie Apocalypse (aka COVID) got in the way. So, rather than waiting until 2030 and the less catchy 60@70, I propose we have a horizontal of 1960s now.
The Red Room at the Boot & Flogger has been booked for the evening of Tuesday 14th April 2026.
Please indicate interest in attendance, and what you might be able to supply. Note that those with bottles will be given preference. Cost equalisation probably isn't necessary, but if your bottle is particularly rare/expensive then will be reviewed.

I’m in!
Note that this is Tom's year of birth so it might be nice to save a spot for him while we give him a nudge.
I have at home BN, Fe, Ni (only one bottle, which might be needed for the F v Ni tasting), N, Rs, RV, Sb and T. In storage I also have Ck.

If anyone does have the NN, the last bottle I had some 12 years ago was splendid and so I would be up for a group adoption.

For me I’ll put my money on the 100 to 1 in the last race at Cheltenham; it’s a much safer bet

You're currently first reserve.
My guest space is being held for someone who I think will want to come but maybe isn't able to respond at the moment. If they don't want it then it's yours.

Ahhh looks like I have been a bit hasty and double booked - I am in Mallorca on a cycling holiday on this date. Tempting as it is to fly back for the evening, Ill have to pass my place to the next on the list.

I don't have any Ramos Pinto 1960 so won't be able to bring that, even though my name is against it on the placemat.

My Noval 1960 is hereby downgraded to a ‘believed Noval 1960’. It has no label, the capsule is not marked with the brand, and on removing the capsule I can’t make out the lettering on the cork. I’d better adopt, if adoption is a possibility or, if there’s something missing that is commercially available, I’ll buy that in.

Noval is currently marked in the second post as “Noval [IDJ,MPM,CPR,GEAG,AHB]”, so your uncertainty is surely not a major disaster.
