A Ramos Pinto vertical was held on Tuesday 9th June 2026 (our first in 11.6 years), at the traditioonal Boot & Flogger, as arranged by Michael M., for whom Neil C. late deputised.

RP80. The colours changed: ≥1980 being near-black 98% opaque. Palate harmless: some dark fruit, but empty. Somebody near me — words stolen, credit not given by failure of memory — said “low-personality wine”, which was very correct.

Deep dark colour. Big rich port, arguably not yet ready. Possibly a bit boot-faced. Licorice note later.
