1924 Unknown, “Believed Cockburn†: darker than the others — visually a creature from a different stable. And the same true by smell, accurately described by the Lisles as “dessicated coconut†. Lots of fruit, but off. To taste I wrote only “off†. Not liked; not Cockburn.
Unbranded cork — of which currently I cannot find a photograph.

Re: 1924 Unknown
From the flavour profile, this was believed by Miguel Corte Real to be the Croft. A lovely fresh and floral nose with plenty of red fruits over a smokey tone. Strangely soapy in the mouth, with a pleasant flavour of soaked raisins. Good aftertaste, mouthfilling and lingering. Very pleasant. 86/100.

Re: 1924 Unknown
Miguel Côrte-Real sent AHB some of his own notes on the various vintages, some obviously drafted in advance, some from the day itself.

Generic Information
A year of good quality and fair colour, a little on the green side and so a little lacking in body, but the wines developed fairly well in bottle and produced a very flavoury attractive wine. (J.Smithes 1968)
Year/Viticulture
A small yield.
