Proposal for a tasting in 09

Post by g-man »

I'm hitting the big 3-0 in 09 and I think it'd be fitting to have a 30 years side by side tasting.

Pick two bottles of a particular house 30 years apart. IE. Fonseca 2000 vs Fonseca 1970.

Dates and ports and years to be TBD.

I think that it would be hard to get a lot of 30 year comparisons that would include mature ports on both sides.

What about a variation on the theme? A thirty year vertical perhaps. As Jeff's favorite house is Fonseca, what about a thirty year Fonseca vertical, starting in 1970?

Was thinking about this topic, so posted a related question about house consistency over the years.
