1990 Dom Perignon

To celebrate my losing my job with BOC, I opened a bottle of DP'90 to share with my other half. The colour was a deep straw with plenty of mousse. A wonderful nose of lime and brioche. In the mouth, this is alive and vigorous with a lovely ripe grapefuit acidity mixed with a gooseberry reminiscent of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The aftertaste on the wine is stunning; huge and long lasting, with an amazing combination of flavours across the tongue and cheeks. Superb, but sadly my last. 95/100.
