Due to circumstances beyond my control, I may have to spend some time in Leeds next week. Does anybody have any recommendations as to passing the time and eating?

1. Eat and drink at a fine place frequented by attractive students from the University, such as those listed here” .

2. Exhibit so much charm, self-confidence and indifference near those of great aesthetic merit that they wish to play.

3. Play.

”  Of course ‟those” are places, not students.

At least nobody has suggested visiting the castle.

You could go to visit Elland Road. It is a monument which looks like a top class sports stadium and is a lasting memorial to the days when Leeds had a football team

Once again the TPF Travel Advisory Bureau exceeds all expectations.

Thanks everybody.

So - booked into the West Leeds Premier Inn, because it is next door. This is surprisingly near Elland Road and not a lot else. Will probably eat something, drink something and go to bed. I'm going back home tomorrow for a break from it.

Sounds like a blast. Good luck. Do they have some decent port in the hotel? Or better did you bring any?

Went to something called Mio Modo or summat on Monday - adequate but expensive. Voted best restaurant in Leeds - sad. No booze of any sort passed my lips.

Elland Road is the ugliest football stadium that I've ever seen.

Now in Accrington.
