Gbye tawny: Traditional Expressions allowance withdrawn

So the news today is that the EU withdrew from an agreement with the US on what could be on the labels of US exports to the EU.
These "Traditional Expressions" were allowed for a while, but are now withdrawn: chateau, classic, fine, late bottled vintage, noble, ruby, superior, sur lie, tawny, vintage, vintage character

Wow, seems like that's a lot of port language. So where's Port? Well, it's on the list of "semi-generic names" and I've no idea what the story is with that :)

considering that port does't get made in the us
and this is the stuff that's goign to be shipped to europe.

eh. As long as it's not in reverse =)
