What is your favourite 2007?

Mine is Noval, closely followed by Warre, though I did not have Taylors and Fonseca yet. From a price-value relationship I liked the Quarles Harris the most.
From my point of view these wines are very good, some are extremly well to drink right now and are more for the quick drinking.

The assortment of 2007 cask samples that I have had the opportunity to taste is fairly eclectic. I have not had the Noval, Taylor, Fonseca, Graham, etc. My only taste of the Vesuvio came from a bottle that had been open 6 days, so it wasn't really a fair test (though it was probably worth a 92-95 rating even after 6 days).
So, that said, my favorite 2007 so far is Quinta do Vale Meão. The bottle I tasted over 4 days was amazing and I ultimately rated it 95-98. It's going to age for decades but will probably be wonderfully drinkable throughout its life.
The VVV is also very good, as are two of the Ports in the current flight that I'm tasting with Roy. (We won't be revealing them until Saturday, July 4th, so right at the moment I don't know what they are.) The Sandeman, which has been receiving very good scores from others, didn't really impress me all that much. It's probably just my inability to process anything through the massive wall of tannins.

Noval is a fantastic big wine. I was particularly impressed with the second-string houses from the Symingtons, particularly Smith Woodhouse, as representing excellent value for money compared with the big names. However, like Axel, I have not yet had the opportunity to taste the Taylor Fladgate wines.

So far, Noval and Taylors are a tie. But there is one other that so far isn't far behind, but my lips are sealed for now until I try it over a number of days

Anybody out there who has an opinion on 2007 Graham's VP?
Andy, perhaps?

Of the small number I’ve tried (mostly blind), I thought Noval was the best, though in a demonstration of how little I know about these things, I thought it was a likely to be an SQVP with the Noval Silval being more likely to be a first-label bottle!

Of the wines I've tried, the best were Noval and Graham and I have bought both. I wasn't as impressed by the Taylor and Fonseca as others so have given these a miss this vintage. There are still many more ports that I have not yet had the chance to try - including the Valley de Meao, the Offley and the Ferreira.

I think its a wonderful VP and one that would make a sound inclusion into anyones Port collection.

I agree though it is in my opinion not the top port of the Symintons this year.

Maybe not, but i liked this better the second time I had it at the Lodge than the first bottle several months ago. It's amazing what even a few extra months in bottle can achieve once it recovers from bottle shock and shipping.

The two Ports in question turned out to be the 2007 Magalhães (from Quinta do Silval, not to be confused with Quinta do Noval's "Silval" second label) which I rated 93-96 points, and the 2007 Porto Rocha which I rated 94-97 points. Neither was quite as good as the Quinta do Vale Meão (which I rated 95-98) we had in the first flight, but that's almost splitting hairs.
Flight 4 is now underway, and there is another excellent candidate in this batch.

Excellent, Glen, especially the Vale Meao is one of my top price-value-winners

Mine is probably the Burmester. Very floral and with a good complexity on the palate. The tannins are a little bit easy which is good for now but can threat its ageing. I also loved the freshness and fruity flavor of the Vesuvio with a very lingering finish.
