Very dark with black fruits and liquorice on the nose. Sofy entry - good weight with high acidity. Slightly sour in the mid palate then a huge dry tannic finish.

Deep black in colour, impenetrable centre, dark rim. Vivid blackcurrant nose, full of fruit and herbal complexity. Simple in its entry, fruit is restrained but ever-present. Quite light in weight but with plenty of gentle but grippy tannins. Limited in its complexity, but with plenty of acidity. A dry and tannic start to the aftertaste, followed by dry blackcurrant skins that lasts well. Much improved on the early blend. 87-89. Tasted 26 August 2009.

Black purple squid ink. Much heat, very long but heat prominent throughout that length. Not viscous, nor particularly heavy. Might be ready sooner than other ’07s.
