Need help finding re-usable Decanter "labels"

Post by gerwin.degraaf »

Does anybody know if, and if so where (preferred in Europe), I can get hold of "decanter-labels" which can be re-used (re-writable, i.e. with whiteboard marker of a chalkstick)?
I think I once saw a picture of a bunch of decanters, which had a label (hanging from a chain) around them on which the specifics of the contents was written. This item could be useful in tastings where several Ports are being served.

So far, I haven't been able to find this kind of labels for my decanters. The only ones I've been able to find, are the ones which are more for decoration (and they are not writable, because these labels just state terms like "Port", "Sherry", "Brandy", "Whisky" et cetera.

Thanks in advance for any reactions! :663333:

We have used such labels on decanters at many :tpf: tastings and JDAWs standard placemat software even produces a sheet (or sheets) of labels that can be cut out and stuck to the back of an old Business Card to serve that very purpose.

We even have a set of :tpf: chains that we use for this. We have many more chains than we would ever need so I would be happy to post some to you if you send me a PM with your address. I will send you a sample of a chain with the business card label attached so that you can see exactly how it's done.

I use paper based neck tags with written or printed labels on them.

12 chains and a sample label are now packed and ready to be posted to The Netherlands tomorrow

Now all you have to do is organise a tasting of 12 VPs 88)
