Wanted: Four dozen inexpensive port glasses..

I want to buy about four dozen (at least 40) port glasses that are broadly similar in design to the standard tasting glasses, are of crystal rather than heavy soda glass, and are not too expensive!

They don't have to be new, but I would prefer they were all of the same design, do not carry any commercial logos, and have boxes they can be packed away in.

I need them by the end of the month..

- Suggestions?

Tom

We in the states use the Durand tasting glasses

http://www.wineglassesltd.com/pg_durand.htm

but google keeps sending me to US sites whenever I try to do a search.

Tom, not sure what you mean by heavy soda glass, so these maybe of said stuff. However, they are very usable and are standard tasting glasses. I got 3 dozen of them and they work a treat at £1.15 plus VAT each. Take a look

That looks like a very solid Port glass for that price.

Thanks Alex,

I never thought to look at that site for glasses..

..I think they probably are soda glass, but they look a cut above the 'pub grade' quality that I wanted to avoid; and at that price, I can't go too far wrong!

- Cheers!

They come in boxes of six, which are easy to stack - I stuck three boxes into a rucksack with a bottle of Port and didn't lose one.

The ones we use in the US (Marjorie Lumm's Durand INAO glasses) are thinner than a soda bottle wine glass, and nice to use, but not as elegant as a higher end port glass.
