A hello from Australia

Hi there. Long time reader, first time writer. I didn't see a note on the 1991 Smith Woodhouse so thought I would contribute one. Otherwise I mostly write on the Australian wine fora. I like most wine but vintage port has a special place in the heart.

cheers

Carl

Welcome to the site griff and it's always great to see new people contributing in any way.

Stay a while and we look forward to seeing a posting about the TPF first offline in austrailia!

HI and welcome. From the land of my namesake - "Benjamin" tawny. Not the greatest 'port' in the world, but nice to have one named after me!

Are you an Aussie or expat Brit? There is the occasional sports related banter here, so hopefully you can add a new dimension to that as well.

Cheers.

Ben

Thanks for the welcome. I'm Australian but I spent a year working in the UK and it was that time that allowed me to start enjoying a few Portuguese ports. Port has a very small market in Australia but judging by auction prices, port is becoming more fashionable. I'm not sure if we can get an offline going though :)

cheers

Griff, welcome and good to have an Aussie poster.

Not sure whether my offlines with Aussie (Gas Man or Zammo), TORB and Red Bigot count as TPF events, especially as no Port was had, some port maybe. However, a trip to Perth is not out of the question.

Good to have you here,

Alex
