What should be next?

I'm away on holday shortly and when I come back I will be fed up with having drunk port from the 2004 vintage or younger for about the last 3 months. According to the modelling that Uncle Tom encouraged me to do, my next bottle can be from either of the following groupings:
1999-1994
1993-1989
So, without worrying whether I've got one or not, what would suggest I open when I get back for maximum enjoyment?
Alex

Due to my sons birthday I had some delicious 99s recently. I do prefer Vesuvio, Kopke and Taylors Terra Feita. I do agree that they are not as good as the 94s, but for only a split of the costs. So go for 99-94 for the more fruity option and for a 89 or 90 for the more mature option.

Not quite - sacrificing my standards for the greater good so that you can all read my thoughts on the 2008 vintage plus taking a couple of half bottles of Croft 2004 LBV with me as I travel off to my port desert of a holiday. One has to have a chilled glass of LBV waiting after a hard day's lying on the beach, don't you know, what?

Hi Alex,
all suggestions mentioned have their appeal; especial Vesuvio 1994

. However my choice would be if in your cellar one of Fonseca Guimarens 1998, Malvedos 1990, Malvedos 1992, Vargellas 1996, Vesuvio 1996 or Vesuvio 1997, Croft da Roeda 1997 or Delaforce da Corte 1991.
All of them I drank/tried over the last two years and were in my eyes immediately approachable and offer maximum enjoyment in the brackets you mentioned.
In my humble opinion you should not open any of these and drink something from the 70ties or 80ties
regards
