Mature looking, a gentle red/orange colour; 30% opaque. Atrractive nose of ripe blood oranges. Mature, sweet fruit in the mouth and lovely development on the mid-palate; perhaps with some hints of Douro bake. Peppery and enjoyable. The aftertaste is gentle and the finish generous and long. Very pleasant current drinking - but not a port I would keep for the long term. 85/100.

Plummy colour. Lightening towards the edge. Quite subdued on the nose. In the mouth some fruit remains; very drinkable now but will fade away soon.

Decanted @8.00a.m. and straight back to bottle.

Relatively simple flavour profile, yet more mature characteristics than might be expected of a '91, not huge on either the nose or finish but perfectly agreeable drinking. The type of port I would happily open up alone on a Friday night after a tough week and drink on a short decant.

If available at around the same price, I'd probably put my money towards the Cavadinha '92 tasted a couple of weeks earlier.
