FG68. Red, slightly dark, 60% opacity. Nose of soapy lavender. To taste heat. Thick sweetness early palate. Slight spearmint. Then, late palate, dry, actually very dry.

Mature red colour, paling on the rim; 90% opaque. Red cherry nose, slightly medicinal. Sweet entry, a little light bodied, but sweet with a modest acidity that doesn't quite support the wine effectively. It does develop with patience to reveal a core of sweet dates and sour cherry stones. The aftertaste tingles, with soft tannins and black cherry stones. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
