2003 Quinta do Noval Nacional vintage port

Deep red, losing a little colour on the rim. Rustic / farmyard nose. Hollow entry, not well balanced although generous and jammy fruit comes through late with a massive dose of acidity and tannins. An enormous finish that lasts for ages. Needs much more time in the cellar. Very difficult to score today. 92+/100. Drunk 13 October 2011.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026
