Anything But Vintage III

Approximately 1 year ago (almost exactly, in fact), "
Anything But Vintage II - the Warm Up" was held.
Is it time to schedule "Anything But Vintage III - the Real Deal"?

Hi Rob,
it has to come to my attention that I have not had enough port recently. Hence I am interested. Also suggested to JDAW to meet up on Wednesday the 11th of July in order to pick up the remains/empty bottle of the Dalva 1934
What theme would you fancy? Definitely have some Colheita round. Can we accept Crusted from very good years? Have some rather lovely Offley crusted bottled in 1965 (do not exactly know what it is; guess it is mainly the 63

)
regards
WS1

Any chance we could move to the 12th? I will be in Portal restaurant on 11th.
If there is sufficient momentum behind 11th, happy to step aside.

I can't do the 12th but am happy to wait for another week when the organiser can join in.

This failed to launch last year. Is there any more enthusiasm this time round?

I am moderately interested. I have one colheita and a handful of LBVs that would be suitable candidates. And a crusted that I've just remembered.

I could bring a brace of ‘Sandeman 1970’.

Being two bottles of Warre LBV 1982?
I have one brown sticky thing to do something with but promised to share it with Wolfgang, so he must attend if I am.

Very interested. I have really enjoyed some fo the LBV and crusted ports produced on occasion. Whether I can attend is always a more delicate discussion at home! I am presently working on 27th June...

My cellar's leaky bottle radar, otherwise known as my nose, picked up a faint signal yesterday; and after some careful range-finding and homing-in found its target.
It is an old bottle, probably twenties or thirties, that shows no sign of ever having had a label. It has a wax capsule, on which is stamped a single word - SHERRY
So it's brown sticky stuff from the wrong part of Iberia, and I've no intention of either a) Preserving its contents by rewaxing, or b) Drinking it all by myself.
But on the occasion of drinking a range of oddities, it might be useful as an extra bottle, should we get thirsty..
- Now, how about setting a date?

There has been some discussion of a short notice offline when Kate has her baby.

For reasons that i am happy to explain offline, i would now prefer to leave the 82 tasting to a different time.
Apologies
