Croft Port Barrel

Hey all, I found this Barrel when clearing out my uncles house..just wondering does it hold any value or is just a production line barrel.
Not a keen fan of port myself (prob wrong thing to say here haha) but if it holds value will find a good home if not shall fill it with many some recommendations for here

Welcome to :tpf:! Funnily enough, we have just been discussing barrels in another thread.

Your barrel looks like it was produced for decoration; I don’t think it was ever involved in the making of Port because it is so small. If it is water-tight and the tap still works, you could re-fill it either with Port or something else you like. I wouldn’t have thought it would have great value: there are some new ones on ebay which are selling for about £40 or £50.

Those would be perfect for irish whiskey =)

stateside, they're sold as bourbon barrels.
