2001 Niepoort Vertente

I didn't feel like a port tonight 
but i really had the thirst for a Douro dry wine. I figure since they are both from Portugal, you guys would forgive me this little indescretion.
No formal TN, but a nice nose that reminds me of a young Bordeaux. Still some noticable tannins and solid fruit that shows no sign of age. This is drinking quite well and has a rather long finish. I got a few more left and I think I'll save one or two for a couple more years as an experiment. This really hit the spot tonight!
