Port in a (franken)Storm?

Last night Hurricane Sandy came through, we were only lightly dusted (high winds, brief power outage, no flooding - yet). Port in a storm was Warres 1985.
How's everyone else?

It seems that everyone I know on the East Coast is doing fine. A nephew got stuck in an elevator near the 35th floor for a while, but finally got bored and got out on his own and then helped the firemen rescue others. Several internet buddies experienced a lot of power flickers or short outages, but nothing terribly serious. My brother in law said that his building was swaying and making noises that a building should never make, but otherwise seemed fine.
Glad to hear that Clan Sushi is fine!

Minimum of 9 days without power.
3 downed power lines
2 downed trees
my neighbor 2 houses down has a massive oak tree as part of her front porch addition
Finished up a 96 Quevedo Colheita to drown out my no power and no heat misery.
it's 40 degrees F overnight and the baby is NOT happy.

We have power, heat, an extra room, AND port. Road trip?

Took a licking, not as bad as some--wind tore off about 20-25 slates off my roof and gave me a few holes which of course leaked into some bedrooms. A portion of a solid cedar fence is down and a big oak tree in the back woods had the top ripped off. Various folks around town lost cars, pools, porches and one poor sole had a pine tree crash thru his attic. All safe. Still no power at home but have a generator and a stock pile of gasoline (lines are incredible).
For warmth I've had a KWV South African Tawny (only paid $5 on sale) and a 2007 Taylor's LBV shared with friends as they huddled our house (we have some heat and can cook).
