Intriguing!
Is there any small print regarding who bottled it on the front or back label?

the new president, Manuel Cabral, told me recently that they are using various producers for their IVDP label. I just received a 10y old bottle from him and do very much like the label.
It is a bob, which is regularly bought from the producers.

Very nice!
Though given its role, is it entirely proper that IVDP has a commercial relationship with certain port producers....? or even has their own label port (albeit not for commercial sale)?
Feels like there may be a potential conflict of interest in there somewhere!

From what's been said so far, it sounds as though the IVDP has taken over some of the Casa do Douro's work buying up and holding excess production to support small grape farmers. Production which will slowly be sold back to the trade as blending stocks.

Do you mean more generally, or in the case of the 03 VP/ 10 YO tawny mentioned on this thread?

I was thinking more generally, but it is only idle speculation on my part.
