The label says that this was aged in small oak barrels for at least a year.
A russet red colour with a distinctly brown rim, if this was port I would be guessing it to be a basic tawny from the colour; distinctive stewed raisins on the nose, with just a hint of VA. Concentrated raisins and sultanas on the palate, sweet but with a good acidity to balance the palate. Modest body. Pleasant raisiny aftertaste of decent length, but which fades quickly to leave a brown sugar syrup finish. Pleasant drinking, quite akin to a tawny reserve port. 82/100.
