2009 Pintas vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Dark red and opaque. Quite closed on the nose now. Tight and closed on the palate with lots of tannin but little obvious fruit. A big tannic aftertaste leaving very dry lips! Could this possibly have closed down - surely not yet? 86/100. Tasted at the BFT on 24 April 2013.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
