2003 Ramos Pinto vintage port
60% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz. Dark red and opaque. Youthful nose, still showing young fruit. Fabulous texture on the palate, full of fruit but with iron tannins that need lots of work to subdue them. A very fine port with a huge tannin dominated aftertaste. 94/100. Tasted at the BFT on 24 April 2013.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
