2007 Waitrose LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Symington Family Estates. Firm red centre, rose on the rim; 70% opaque. Little on the nose. On the palate this brings sweet fruit in a lightly bodied port with soft and gentle tannins. There is a lovely sweetness to the fruit but also a refined and balancing acidity. Sweet and persistent on the aftertaste. 84/100. Drunk 24 April 2013 at the 2007 LBV post BFT offline.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
