Does anyone have any experience of ports imported by this shipper / bottler from Perth, Scotland? Wondered if it was a generally good provenance..

The name rings a bell, but I don't know why. I can't find a record of having tried any wines bottled by this merchant.

Justerini & Brooks own J&B Whisky.

Is it possible that the makers of famous Grouse also bottled Port?

So it would appear...
Second question. Does top shoulder seem a low level for a G70?*
*I am becoming very tired of (buying and) drinking oxidised or otherwise badly-stored ports..

Lovely picture and I would be luke warm regarding the fill level. Not bad but not great either.

There is an enormous volume of 1970 VP that is in the neck. There is no point in taking a chance with low fills unless they are ridiculously cheap.

Only one of those bottles looks "top shoulder". I would buy at that price in that condition. If sharing is allowed/desired I would take up to three bottles in a fair share of condition.

They look nice. Please tell me if you don't buy, or open at TPF!

Yes.
A case of English bottled and well cellared 1970 port
will typically have about nine bottles with level in neck, two base of neck and one top shoulder or very top shoulder.
Needless to say, the weakling should be drunk through first...
