Wanted to throw this out in case people were interested but I am hosting
Oscar Quevedo of Quevedo Port wines
and
Vitor Mendes of Quinta de Gomariz

here in NY

As is typical of NY offlines, food is going to be aimed at 100$/all in
Date: June 6th
Time: 7pm

The cost of the wines is 25$/person

We will taste Oscar's and Vitors line ups

Oscar Red
Oscar White
White Port
Reserve Tawny
LBV 2006
1992 Colheita
2011 VP

Gomariz we will taste the Loureiro and the Espardeiro

But Port is a British drink, now adopted by our former colony, both of whom were far from neutral (albeit that the Yanks were a bit late in joining the party).

I'm going in tomorrow and sitting down with the chef and he's going to do a pairing of the wines with the food.
