2004 Noon VP

A sister wine to the 2004 Noon Solaire and a very interesting comparison - thanks to Carl and Rebecca for bringing them.
This is a fortified grenache with the must being partially fermented and then fortified to leave some of the initial sugar unfermented. Sweeter nose than the Solaire, showing treacle and perfume. Medium-sweet entry, soft tannins and light-weight fruit. On the late palate brown sugar and fresh raspberries start to appear. This has a lovely sweet palate presence, a delicious lingering dry finish. 85/100.
