Re: 1937 Vinho Fino do Douro
Bottled 1987. Honey brown in colour. Perfumed clover-honey drives a pronounced and attractive nose. Hollow entry, which resolves into a honey and lemon set of flavours; modest palate which leads to a sweet and sticky finish. Lacks balance and focus. 84/100
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
