I will be in London again from 6 to 10 January and would love to see old (and new) friends and share a glass. Probably only just a relaxed get together, could even be with some beers and wines.
Let me know any preferred dates and I'll try to pick a day that works for everyone.

8th might work for me. I need to negotiate one of my 2 January passes...
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!

I won’t know until closer to the day which would be true whatever the date. So go with the consensus of Wednesday 8
th January. (And please change the title of the thread to the specific date.)
Placemat question: blind or sighted?

I always prefer blind.
I shall book TBH tomorrow - provisionally for 6 people.

Good, 8th it is. Thanks Alex for booking TBH. I have no preference for blind or sighted, both are fine with me.
I will try to find a nice bottle when in London, as I have exactly 1 bottle of Port left here in Oman, and that needs to be drunk together with LadyR.

You’re in but as the extra unnamed person.
aka as the unknown drinker

All 6 seats round the table are now taken. Further late comers are still welcome, but early warning would guarantee a seat being added to the table.
I should add that we're not in the private room - that's being used by a large private party tomorrow night. Our table is available from 6pm.

The day has come, and I know that I’m not. Sorry team, and especially sorry to Ronnie.

Only five, so there is a spare.
Enjoy.

"DRT" did not look happy when it was decanted this morning so there is now also a "DRT2"
Sorry to hear that JDAW cannot join us. Would a team petition to Mrs W help?

With this news, my self control and discipline are broken. I will go home and decant something now. However, i will be trying to drink lightly!

Sorry to hear you won't be there Julian, hopefully next time.
I will try to be there between 6-6.30 tonight, if my course finishes on time.
See you all tonight!

Mrs W has cancelled Mr W’s date with Mrs W. For reasons lying presumably within the Magisterium of magic rather than science.
About to make an emergency decant. Will be there at 6:45ish.
