Mz94. The third palest, being about 60% opaque. Nose stinky. Palate texture rough, heat mid-palate, and then fades. A workaday Port of no great merit.

Decanted 1-2 hours prior. 70% opacity, not much leg, good clear rim. Nothing much on the nose, hints of spice - cinnamon, cloves. In the mouth, heat in the middle with acidity which fades away to a caramel finish. Fruitiness behind the het in the middle.

Nice weight and smooth - good dark fruit on the palate but lots of heat in the finish.

Decanted at 3 pm (drunk around 4.30 pm onwards). 70%, quite orangey colour. Unexciting nose. Thin, varnishy, unpleasant.

Almost opaque, with a wide transparent rim; mature appearance - but only just. Limited on the nose, some modest fruit, but this has a lovely texture on the palate. Medium-bodied with lots of delicious fruit and gentle dry tannins. Gentle fruit lasts a long time on the aftertaste and finish. A lovely elegance with lots of potential for future improvement. will last many years. 89/100. 3 hour decant.
