Produced by Rothschile Vignerons for the Wine Society. Soft red colour, with some vague hints of brick red in the rim. Expressive nose, full of crushed fruit and cedar wood; very attractive. Fruit forward on the palate, with good complexity and spiciness from the soft, ripe tannins that provide a nice liveliness to the wine. Very fine aftertaste and enormous duration finish. Really rather an impressive wine that is ready to drink but will also hold another 5+ years. 90/100. Drunk 30/3/14 after a 2 hour decant.

At circa £15 a bottle, I would recommend this to any member of the Wine Society who is wondering which claret to buy. This is delicious and I will have a case tucked away in the wine cooler to act as a cellar defender for the better bottles.
