2012 Grans-Fassian Riesling 9

A lovely bottle, kindly sent by a German benefactor. 9.5%, a semi-dry (or is that half-sweet?) wine. Very pale straw colour. A hardly noticeable nose; grassiness and wet stones; but in the mouth, this begins with citric acid and minerality, then the pétillante stony dryness unfurls into a late fruity sweetness that persists. I get crisp green apples, softening then into lychees, and soft white grapes, in the moderately long finish. This is an uncomplicated but very satisfying wine.
