1964 Niepoort Garrafeira (bottled 2014)

Bottled 2014 shortly before dinner. Lovely red colour, a clean brick-red. Rich and sweet in flavour with a great texture and a wonderful palate. Lovely, rich Christmas pudding flavour finish. Lovely port. 93/100. Drunk 24-Jun-14. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
