Kindly provided by WS1. Mature red appearance, lovely russet-brown colour. Sharp nose, mature and beefy, gentle but not pronounced. Mature on the palate, fruit is drying and there is a woodiness to the mouth. Lots of tannin, dry fruit but pleasant late-palate fruitiness. Dry fuit and tannin aftertaste, lingering finish. Pleasant, but now fading slowly and with dignity. 84/100. Drunk 03-Jun-14. Decanted 3½ hours.
