2008 Georg Breuer Estate Rauenthal

One of Breuer's two mid-quality wines, but with some bottle age. The nose is rich, buttery and creamy, which along with the apple acid has combined to produced the classic 'petrol' notes. The mouth is complex, dryness being underwritten by cream, no fruit to speak of but lemons at the end. Steel caps this off so that crispness dominates the finish again with light petrol.

I just noted this in my little black book: "petrol in the nose, but not in the mouth, creamy"
