A Pinot Noir with some age, about 45% opaque, with some bricking. An iron tang hits you in the nose. AW77 said that this reminded him of a cat that you go to strike, which suddenly throws a claw at you.

This is roughish. It's light bodied with a very pale rim but there is an aniseed edge to the fruit.

One hour later, the claws are back in. This is light and elegant now, with a silky nose, containing a hint of black fruit, which is also present in the mouth and the finish. Also just a flash of smoke in there, the remnant of the iron that was there at the start. AW77 thought the tannins furry and felt that this suggested lack of integration.

:...: I just noted this in my little black book: "rust-coloured, smells of licorice, in the mouth bitter and sour (furry in the mouth), don't like it"
