2011 Künstler Berg Rottland Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese

Drunk at the Künstler winery on the 15th August 2014.

We were lucky – this had just been opened and we were invited to try a glass. It has 393 g/L of residual sugar and 9 g/L of acid. It has the body and mouthfeel of PX, but then nuts and toast open out in the fruit and make this much more complex and pleasantly layered.

I just noted this in my little black book: "smells of PX, 393 grams of sugar, great wine".
