On Wednesday 29th October 2014 some obvious suspects (JDAW, DRT, MPM, THRA, IDJ, BMHR, RLC) gathered to test the Board Room in Davy’s at Plantation Place (Mincing Lane EC3R 7BD, +44 20 7621 9878, streetmap.co.uk, maps.google.co.uk, bing.com).
Recalling that we held a small vertical of Croft at The Bung Hole on Monday 16th January 2012, originally for the purpose of testing the then-new location (planning and arrangements, review of the evening as a whole), this Croft theme was repeated.

Re: 1950 Croft
Decanted 10 minutes after a lot of huffing and puffing from Ian. 20% opacity, brown-orange, slight cloudiness. Not much on the nose, maybe faint hints of honeycomb. Very nice smooth entry, sugary sweet. Not a belter compared to some others this evening, but nice nonetheless.
Re: 1950 Croft
Cr50, a rarity. Orange-red, 25% opaque. Nose faintly sweet. Palate, from D+0 and throughout the evening, unctuous, full and rich. Though the fruit was almost all gone, leaving faded cherry, the texture was lovely.
Much huffing and puffing indeed. But worth it in the end.flash_uk wrote:a lot of huffing and puffing from Ian.
