2011 Toscana, Villa Antinori

Very good Italian from Waitrose. A bit of new and plenty of old school winemaking. A touch of oak but nicely handled. I like how refreshing Italian wines are, all the acidity I s'pose.

Yep, great aren't they. Not all Italian wines, I'd venture: it's the Tuscans. André will be pleased to see you're drinking Italian, he is also a fan.

Yes, Daniel, I'm delighted that Owen likes Italian wines.
But I'm more delighted that Owen likes acidity in his wine. This bodes well for the two bottles of Riesling he's going to taste in Summer.
