How about "bring a blind bottle" as a theme? Avoids the need for any serious organisation...

Bring a blinded bottle sounds good to me-I'm in.

How about a theme of “Bring an optically-impaired bottle”? So bring a bottle, but wrapped — or a variant thereof — that leaves a slightly visible clue.

A reservation should be made, which must be preceded by a decision.
For me the venue of the B&F is better, but Woolgate’s manager’s enthusiasm needs rewarding. Hmm: I’d choose the
B&F.

B&F gets my vote!

Yes I am leaning towards the B&F. Woolgate could be used next time we have a tasting with the full complement of 14 attending, as their large room can adequately cope.
Edit: will call tomorrow.

Oh, I had guessed that it would be the other way round, as The Ovens in The B&F could accommodate most of 30.

Yes, please. B&F much preferred by me.
It won't take a genius to work out what I will be bringing.
If Phil is attending there will also be a bonus bottle that is to be drunk with the team.

Team, a minor catastrophe, I can no longer make this Thursday. There remain 5 willing and capable participants - could someone take control and steer the ship home? The room is booked but no food preorder has been made, although perhaps not essential with a smaller group.

Happily for your blood pressure, your life coach is submitting the order. Choose one main course.

Regrettably, I have to drop out of Thursday's tasting and break my 100% at the B&F this year already my wife having shamelessly booked that night out way before I agreed to participate (apparently!). And this is not the only tasting I have to exit from..

I mistakenly thought that I might be allowed a treat to celebrate five decades of graceful aging. Perhaps not.

Will we need a bottle of red with dinner? Ages ago Cynthia left in our care a Domaine René Engel Vosne-Romanée 2003; and before Christmas Ramos-Pinto sent me a Reserva Duas Quintas 2012. Should I bring one of these, and if so, which?
(This question also
asked re the tasting on 31st March.)

I plan to bring a bottle of CPR and a bonus bottle thus we shouldn't be short.

With that taken elsewhere, the only available bottle for this tasting is the Reserva Duas Quintas 2012.

The Reserva Duas Quintas 2012 can be saved for another day. And
placemats updated.
