2012 Quinta do Noval

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Approximately 1,000 case produced. Deep red in colour and sticking to the glass when swirled. Sour blackcurrant on the nose, very obvious and pronounced. Sweet fruit on entry, soft and smooth at first but the tannins and acidity come through strongly on the second phase of the palate bringing big, dry tannins. A port which is chewy, dry and full of red cherries. 92/100. Drunk 26-Sep-16. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
