Made only from grapes grown on the quinta. Deep red with some brick red in the tone; opaque centre. Some Douro baked fruit on the nose; the fruit has some baked characteristics on the palate. There are gentle tannins on the palate along with caramelized - almost tawny - structure to the mid-palate. Soft on the aftertaste and a relatively short finish. 83/100. Drunk 07-Nov-16.
