Bottled 2016. Dark red in colour with a narrow rim. Subdued nose with little showing. Delightful on entry bringing sophisticated fruit poised around ripe tannins that are incredibly fine grained. Wonderful palate development - elegant yet also very complete. A touch hollow on the aftertaste but the finish picks up very well. This is a nice and elegant port. 88-90/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
