2001 Cockburn LBV

Post by Rubby » 23:45 Tue 11 Mar 2008

2001 Cockburn's LBV
Filtered. Bottled in 2007.

Decant +1:
Colour deep black with cherry red rim. Full body with loads of cherry, some grape, plum, molasses and chocolate. Disappointingly short aftertaste, slightly mineral with green grapes added. Some tannins.
Decant +3:
Aftertaste is getting a bit longer, but palette stays unchanged.
Decant +24:
No difference with previous day, although a little bit more heat from the alcohol.

A decent but not too impressive LBV.
