O66, decanted 13:30. Red, 35% opaque. Gentle heat, raspberries, soft and long.

Slight decay in the glass, gaining a flabbiness not present earlier.

My notes have been lost so this is written from memory the following day. This was a nicely structured, quite dry Port that bordered on being great but was just lacking a little complexity needed to be in the top tier on the evening - but a very enjoyable glass if not overshadowed by a couple of the great wines drunk alongside.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
