1947 Barros Colheita (bottled 1998)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 1998. Brick brown colour, 30% colour. Gentle ginger and butterscotch on the nose. Good bruised apple acidity on the palate, a hint of ginger, a touch of coffee. Lightly structured. Coffee tannins aftertaste, green apple acidity finish. 87/100. Drunk 27-Sep-21. Decanting time N/K.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
